Jackie Stapleton is a self taught jewellery maker and has been making her own creations for 11 years. She buys strings of stones and gems that come from the earth, before deciding what to make. In moments of creativity she can’t stop making things until such time as she runs out of the particular gem she is working with. Colours and patterns in Jaspers and other stones have her studying them for hours. She came across, within a string of freshwater pearls where she discovered within the pearl surface an elephants head on one and a small seal almost at the edge, ready to jump off, on another. She works in sterling silver and silver coated copper which means she can provide a wide range of items at a price for every pocket. She encourages all customers to try on before buying (with the exception of ear-rings). She has two specific words that she includes in her crafting, the first being ‘Addiction’ once she starts she can’t stop and the other being ‘Adventure’, making beautiful things that takes her in many directions of her imagination.
